BIO
Christine Field, owner and principal of Design alla breve, is an experienced graphic designer and illustrator with an extensive background originating in publishing. In 1995, with over ten years experience in her field, Christine opened Design alla breve in downtown Los Gatos.Design alla breve's name was taken from music-Christine being a violinist as well as a visual artist. alla breve is a musical term used long ago to indicate tempo: "in duple or quadruple time with the beat represented by the half note." In short (no pun intended!), Design alla breve was named for its ability to complete projects in a timely fashion... without skipping a beat!
EMPLOYMENT
Design alla breve occasionally hires students currently enrolled in a design program who are interested in internships. We are a small firm, and can provide instructive supervision for the great variety of projects we land.
